From Iowa ballfields to back-to-back titles.
Teagan Kavan is a softball pitcher from West Des Moines, Iowa, and a proud Midwesterner. From her first time on the field in a bright pink “Bunnies” uniform to proudly representing the University of Texas, softball has shaped who she is and taught her to work hard, believe in herself, and embrace the journey. In 2024, Teagan became the first freshman in Texas history to throw a complete-game shutout in her Women’s College World Series debut. In 2025, she helped lead Texas to its first national championship in program history, finishing the World Series with zero earned runs in 31 1/3 innings and earned Most Outstanding Player honors. In 2026, she helped the Longhorns become back-to-back national champions and was named the WCWS Most Outstanding Player for a second time, becoming the first pitcher in WCWS history to earn the honor twice. Beyond the accomplishments, Teagan wants to share the game she loves and help others find the same joy in it.
